How to get a credit card with no credit and no checking account?

I'm young with no credit and no checking account. I've been looking online and have only come across debit cards or credit cards that require a checking account. Where and how can I get a CREDIT CARD w/ no credit and no checking account? |||You can get what they call a secured card, which is almost like a debit card and bank account as you have to put money in the credit account before you can use the card. You do this for a while then the credit company may (usually does) give you a small line of credit, something like $250, pay that on time for a while they will increase it and so on. Honesty I'd get a bank account then try to get a card through them. Are you a student? If so, many banks offer students cards which are a bit easier to get. Good luck.|||If this is possible, and I really don't know if it is, beware of this credit card offer. I have heard of some cards of this nature having a $500 credit limit, but the only catch is that you have to put up $500 in a savings account to qualify for the card. In other words, it is not really a true credit card. This cards also have astronomically high interest rates.|||In the UK, you can't apply for any credit without having a credit check or credit score completed. People will not lend you money without completing some sort of checks to ensure that you are capable of paying the money back.

For instance, if a stranger came upto you in the street, gave you a random name and address and asked to borrow 拢100 from you, you would not give them the money! If there was some sort of checks you could complete so you knew that they were who they said they were, knew that they lived at that address and had a previous history of paying people back, you would be more willing to lend them the money and there would be a higher chance of you getting this money back.

Obviously the above is only an example, and you, yourself, would never lend money to a random person in the street. In effect though, this is what banks/finance companies are doing to their customers which is why the checks have to be completed.

Hope this helps you to understand a little bit more why they are completed!|||If you haven't needed a credit card up until people have been telling you that you need one, don't worry about it. You really don't 'need' one. The only reason that I got my credit card (aside to help with my credit score!) was for emergiencies-and that was at my family suggestion. I ended up applying for a card through my bank/federal credit union. They will be easier than any other place, especially if you have been with them for a while. Make sure you have NO annual fee. Aside from that, pick and choose.
